A more detailed summary of what to expect:

After being greeted and given a workspace, the creative experience begins!

YOU PICK IT: Choose your pottery from a wide selection on display, and decide on a style or design. For inspiration, you can browse our books, see customer artwork on the monitor, or explore references on Pinterest and Instagram.

YOU PAINT IT: Select colors from our palette of 65 options, and feel free to mix them! Start with larger base areas first to avoid getting overwhelmed, then focus on details. You can use pencils, stencils, sponges, tracing paper, and more—ask us for tools! Be gentle with pencils, as pressing too hard can affect the glaze. Apply dark colors over light, and use three thin coats for solid coverage. For a watercolor effect, dilute the paint with water. Remember, glazes may look different before firing, but they transform into vibrant colors after the process.

Friendly Reminder: We respect your creative space but are always here to help! Feel free to get our attention if you need assistance. We also offer a self-serve option for paint refills, but if you’d like us to help, just raise your hand!

Once finished, autograph the bottom of your piece with detail bottles (avoid Sharpie). Leave your artwork on the table for us to process and bring it to the kiln.

WE FIRE IT: We dry your piece overnight, dip it in glaze, and fire it at 1850°F, making it food safe with a glossy finish. After firing, we smooth out the bottom of your pottery.

YOU TAKE IT: Pick up your unique, hand-painted pottery in 5-7 days!

LAST BUT IMPORTANT NOTES & PICK UP OF ARTWORK DEADLINES :

We send a courtesy text when your artwork is ready for pickup, but please note that it’s your responsibility to collect your pieces within 30 days. Due to limited space, we cannot store items beyond that, and after 30 days, they will be donated. Unclaimed pieces are not eligible for refunds or credits.

The materials and glazes which we use are non-toxic.  All pieces using our regular Stroke and Coat glaze are 100% food safe after firing.  Some specialty and crystal glazes are not recommended for food use.  Please check with our team before using these to ensure compatibility with your intended use.  Thank you!
